PLGU Biliran re-implements SMART program this summer

NAVAL, Biliran (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Biliran announces the re-implementation of free Sports, Music, Art and Recreational Training (SMART) Program this summer for those aged 6-16 years old.


The courses under the Sports category includes Basketball, Volleyball, Chess, Taekwando, Lawn Tennies and Soccer, while Hip-hop, Folk Dance, Piano and Keyboard lessons, Drums and Guitar are under the Music category.


Painting, Public Speaking and Personality Development, Plays (Drama, Tragedy and Comedy) and Basic Photography are among the courses offered for Arts.


Meanwhile, Dance Sport, Cooking, Baking and Patries making are courses under Recreational Training.


According to the social media post of Gov. Gerard Roger Espina, the month-long training will commence on July 18 and will conclude on August 18.


Espina said the registration and enrollment for the said program is now ongoing.


For the residents of Naval, you may visit the governor's office and look for Dwight Inchoco and Jason Sanjorjo while those coming from distant towns may visit their respective Provincial Satellite Offices, Espina added.


The purpose of the said program is to provide young Biliranons with enriching and enjoyable summer, thus giving them the opportunity to explore, discover, and develop their skills in their choosen courses. (MMP/AMFK/PIA Biliran)
