CATARMAN, Northern Samar (PIA) -- Alilee Venancia M. Escupete, supervisor of the Pag-IBIG Fund Member Service Office in this municipality, has encouraged members who want to avail of the Calamity Loan to apply until March 27.
This she said during PIA’s Huruhimangraw sa Panginudto program at Radyo Pilipinas on March 2.
Escupete said Calamity Loan offered by PAG-IBIG has lower interest rate at 5.95% than its regular Multi-Purpose Loan at 10.5% per annum.
To apply for the loan, requirements include duly accomplished loan application form, two valid IDs (photocopy), and photocopy of ATM Card (LBP or DBP, or PAG-IBIG Loyalty Card).
Members can personally inquire of their loanable amount at their Member Service Office located at the Northern Samar Public Employment Office (NSPESO) in Brgy. Dalakit, Catarman.
For those who have internet access, members can apply via online and should complete the PAG-IBIG loan application online form.
Online application can be done for members whose employers are enrolled under the Virtual Pag-IBIG for Employers.
Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan 2022 is offered to areas severely affected by Typhoon Odette.
This is part of the government’s effort to help the members recover from the devastation of the strongest typhoon that hit the country in December 2021.
The six (6) regions declared under the state of calamity are: MIMAROPA (Region 4-B), Western Visayas (Region 6), Central Visayas (Region7), Eastern Visayas (Region 8), Northern Mindanao (Region 10), and CARAGA (Region 13).
Allowed to apply are members/borrowers who have at least twenty-four (24) monthly membership savings and have sufficient proof of income, must be a contributing member residing in an area declared by the Office of the President or of the Local Sanggunian under a state of calamity.
Qualified also are members who have updated payment of their existing housing loan, multi-purpose loan, or calamity loan.
