MAASIN CITY (PIA) -- The collection performance of the Bureau of Internal Revenue - Revenue District 90 (BIR-RD 90) in the province showed an increasing trend of uptake compared against its goal and the actual hits of the years 2022 versus 2021.
This was learned from Noemi Abiera Pizon, revenue district officer, during the recent Kapihan sa PIA forum.
According to Pizon, the tax take figures of 2022 reached P785.055 million, and this amount surpassed the RDO-90’s collection goal of P749.814 million for that year, an excess of P35.241 million or 4.70%.
As to the comparison on the actual collection of the years 2022 and 2021, there was an increase of P131.720 million, or 20.16%, as the accumulated tax receipts for 2021 was P653.335 million against P785.055 million for 2022.
For the first three months of the year, the collected revenue was P241.540 million, compared with P178.207 in the first quarter of 2022, a hike of P63.33 million equivalent to 35.54%, Pizon revealed.
Meanwhile, Lyle Laplana, collection officer who was also a guest at the Kapihan, said the district office is closely coordinating with LGUs to update records of businesses registered at their level, and synchronize those with the records at the BIR-RDO 90 for monitoring, among other purposes.
